Fellowship Program

The UCLA Program in Global Health maintains a fellowship program to train and support fellows interested in global AIDS prevention and policy research.

Risa Hoffman, MD, MPH, joined the program in July 2005. Dr. Hoffman is pursuing HIV-parasite co-infection research opportunities in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Malawi.

Jesse Clark, MD, joined the program in July 2006. He has worked at the PGH research site in Lima, Peru,caring for patients with newly diagnosed HIV infection, and pursuing research on adherence and the emergence of drug-resistant HIV in the Peruvian HIV-infected population.

Jay Gladstein, MD, is currently enrolled in the UCLA Veterans Administration Infectious Diseases Fellowship, and the UCLA Health Services Research Fellowship. He will be working with PGH on our NIH funded project in China entitled "Integrating HIV/STI Care/Prevention in China".
