Dr. Lake joined the UCLA CARE Center in 2008. Her research focuses on the treatment of metabolic and aging-related complications of HIV and antiretroviral therapy. Additional areas of interest include the specific needs of HIV-infected women, immigrants, and commercial sex workers. Dr. Lake cares for HIV-infected patients at both the CARE Center and the Valley Community Clinic, where she serves as HIV Medical Director. She completed her Infectious Disease Fellowship at UCLA in 2009. Prior to that, she completed both Internal Medicine residency and medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
